Lesson 236 – I rule my mind, which I alone must rule.

Commentary (full lesson beneath commentary)

My mind seems to roll out of my mind and stick its tongue out at me.  This is just a comical mirage which I can undo at any time by shifting my perspective.  When I choose the Holy Spirit as my teacher, I undo the illusion of my tongue talking itself into something which isn’t real or true.  This shift of perspective (a better teacher, a better way) leads to a shift in perception (from the body’s eyes to the reflection of God’s Vision) which is the healing of the mind — the miracle in action.  At first, changing my mind, owning the rulership of my kingdom, feels like single-handedly steering a huge oceanliner.  But as I maintain my focus and commit to fully turning the ship around, the arc grows smoother and easier with every degree … it becomes clear that the Holy Spirit, not “me” is navigating and the ship turns into Godship, effortlessly radiating Absolute Love.

LESSON 236

I rule my mind, which I alone must rule.

I have a kingdom I must rule.  At times, it does not seem I am its king at all.   It seems to triumph over me, and tell me what to think, and what to do and feel.  And yet it has been given me to serve whatever purpose I perceive in it.  My mind can only serve.  Today I give its service to the Holy Spirit to employ as He sees fit.  I thus direct my mind, which I alone can rule.  And thus I set it free to do the Will of God.

Father, my mind is open to Your Thoughts, and closed today to every thought but Yours.  I rule my mind, and offer it to You.  Accept my gift, for it is Yours to me.
